This is a very stylish brush from the famous Omega factory. It features a wooden handle with black and chrome trim. From the "Professional" series this brush is made from 100% bristle and will build up an excellent rich lather.
I only buy boars shaving brushes, so I may be biased. They last longer, they never get sticky, the really hold the soap. But this one, for that price is incredible. The wooden handle is quite good. Im very happy with the purchase.
Bristles are strong and help make a great lather. Gentle on skin. There is a mild scent from the bristles, however, this fades away with usage. Definitely recommend
This brush will give you some serious lather, and is a pleasure to use for face lathering.
I've got a few Omega boars, the biggest being 55mm, which is a good sweet spot for boars. I wanted to try something larger without going all out for the Pro, which I'm certain would be far too big for me as I face lather. This has turned out to be a really nice big brush. Like all Omegas, they make a joke of the idea of boar 'break in'; they all soften up after a week or so, but they make great lather from day one. This one is no exception. The knot is firm, but will give, so you still know you're using a good boar. The tips are soft and do not scratch. The firmness stops it from being too big on the face, but the larger knot and surface area makes plenty of lather very easily and quickly. Will take on any hard or soft soaps and deliver. I'm surprised I like a brush this big, it's very usable and becoming a favourite.
