Valobra Shaving Soap Stick

Valobra Stick shaving soap has won my heart! There is something about its simplicity and back to basics premium quality that causes me to feel right at home and settling. I'm not sure what I like best, it's superlitive ingredients, like tallow, glycerin, stearic fatty acid, and nourishing palm oil, or it's wonderful soapy and somewhat nutty, talcum, and a refined hint of borax undertone that is truly classic barbershop, or is it the outstanding slickness for wet shaving, particularly with my vintage Sheffield steel straight razor blade, but perhaps what I love the best is how wonderfully supple my skin feels after the shave and throughout the day. It doesn't get much better and I compare this shaving soap against some of the finest soaps worldwide. Helpful suggestion - I take a small demitasse espresso cup which is slightly larger or same size as a large shot glass. I heat the porcelain cup with the hottest possible small amount of water and let the tip of the soap sit in the cup of hot water during my early morning shower before my shave. This helps the hard shaving soap to rub effortlessly into the beard with comfort and ease. Take your favorite badger hair or boars bristle brush and begin to massage the beard and then paint the lather into a rich cream. The soapy fragrance comes alive and you'll love the glide. If you need more soap just work a little more into the beard, or shake off your brush of excess water, conversely add small amounts water if you find it too thick. I think you'll really enjoy this classic old-world soap!
