Smooth, Sharp, cheap and long lasting
Some time back, I developed some major issues with shaving. I looked into what the problem was, joined many helpful on-line forums, and discovered that it was in fact the "hi-tech" cartridge razor doing the damage! The blades weren't so much cutting, as pulling. Research led me to turn to what I percieved was "the past", to the double-edge razor. Once the razor was sorted, I needed to look at blades. From all the on-line surveys, there was one that stood out in them all - Astra Superior Platinum. Everyone mentioned how "comfortable" they were but I have to admit to wondering what they meant. I bought a sample pack of different blades and I soon found out exactly what they meant. I hadn't realised there was such a difference in the qualities of each type. From my trials, it was clear that there was one favourite for me too, the Astra SP! I had such confidence in them that I soon ordered a box of 100. I am currently getting five shaves from each blade and up until the end, they are very smooth, absolutely no tugging, and make short work of my coarse, curly stubble, especially the wire around my chin! At this rate, that will be 500 shaves for £7.50 - I dread to think what 500 cartridge shaves would cost me! The service from Shaving.ie was first rate, really quick, and well packaged, and also by far the cheapest!

Value and quality
These blades are great value for money. As good as any other brand that I have used.

Smooth & Sharp
These Astra blades are brilliant for the price, they are smooth yet sharp. I can shave with these with no worries about cuts, resulting in a brilliant shave with no irritation.

Tried Feather, but Astra is my choice
I tried Feather and the Astra. The only difference I could find is that with the Feather I get a lot more nicks and cuts. The Astra is a very forgiving and also economical blade. I can only recommend it to anyone.

The best blades ive tried by far
I have tried a good few different blades buy buying 5 packs like Bic, Merkur, Gillette and Wilkinson sword and the astras were by far the best (for my skin/hair type) Have wanted to try Feathers but have seen to many comments on there sharpness i'm on the fence about trying them but at this moment in time I've no reason to try anything else as i am perfectly happy that happy I went and bought a 100 blade pack, Can't recommend them enough.
