    The "protected" Feather

Posted by Paulo P. on 18th Jul 2023

I picked this blade because of the guard/protectors on the edge. Helps minimizing minor cuts if your technique is not the best until it improves. Allows you to shave effortlessly a 2/3 day beard. After a learning curve with the AC SR razor I ponder in going into the Pro Blades ( no guard ). I get a minimum of 6 to 8 shaves, and I think I can stretch a little more, but I don't want to.

    Fantastic and forgiving

Posted by Si on 2nd Apr 2023

I've been using feather blades for years but these Proguard's are the most forgiving multiple shave blades you will ever use. I get 6 shaves per blade on my course stubble and they mow through. No knick etc. As normal, shaving.ie prices, service and prompt delivery, has over the years been exemplary and they are still #1 for shaving goods and supplies.

    Close Shave with no nicks

Posted by Larry on 14th Feb 2014

These blades are very sharp and can get you a very close shave. The guards on them are amazing as they help you avoiding nicks. Obviously you can still nick yourself if you aren't careful but these really help and are worth the extra cost. I would recommend those to any new starters but it might be a good idea to switch to the professional blades after some time to hone shaving technique. These blades also last a very long time. I have shaved with the first blade already 6 times (2 pass shaves) and the the blade is still holding strong.
