I have very sensitive skin and am prone to ingrown hairs leading to bumps. I researched razors and decided to buy this Muhle R89. I wanted to find a non aggressive razor for a comfortable shave. I have never been so delighted after a shave! I purchased this razor along with the Taylor of Old Bond Street Sandalwood shaving cream. What a shave! The weight of the razor is perfect. With feather blades, a stiff wrist and a light touch, even with one pass my face felt lovely and smooth. I expect no more bumps. Enough said. Great investment. Great razor. Just buy it.

Bought this for my first foray into the DE shaving game. To say I am impressed would be an understatement, I expected to cut my face to ribbons, but in fact it was the complete opposite. The shave is so much more forgiving and comfortable compared to a cartridge razor. If you're thinking of buying this razor, then doing hesitate it's fantastic!

Great first safety razor
I bought the Muhle R89 as my first ever safety razor. It did the trick, and then some. I was surprised at how clean of a shave I got from it. The head is relatively forgiving, and installing the blade wasn't hard either. It took a couple days to perfect the technique, but after a couple weeks, I'm certain I'm never going back to disposables again!
