Taylor of Old Bond St Coconut Shave Cream
Taylor of Old Bond Street
Taylor of Old Bond Street Eton College shaving cream has a refined sparkling citrus scent with rich woody notes. Taylor shaving creams offer exceptional luxury lather with excellent protection and slickness for the perfect shave.
In the past year I have returned to DE shaving with a passion. Along the way I have tried several different Soap/Cream makers, yet Taylor of Old Bond street is one of my favorites. TOBS soaps and creams are some of the best performing products out there. Eton Collage cream only takes a few swirls on the brush and you end up with a thick lather, effortlessly. It provides a very slick glide and good shave. However, I found this to be more of a You either love it or you hate it ! Personally can't stand the smell of it! It is supposed to be citrus, lemon notes combined with orange and mandarin. Then gentle floral notes are blended with a base of patchouli for a warm manly aroma but I'm getting a sour grapefruit smell with a strong plastic smell. This of course is of no fault to Shaving.ie ... Just my Nose!
This was the first product I purchased on Shaving.ie and I was not disappointed. They delivered the products I ordered within a couple of days via an Post. It was great to buy from an Irish company. As for the Eton college shaving cream it is excellent, lather's well and offers a clean, fresh masculine smell. I have used many Taylor scents before such as Sandalwood, Rose, Limes, etc, and this is one of my favourites. I might even prefer it to Sandalwood now. I use it with a Merkur 1904 using Feather blades and very hot water it offers a great shave. It enjoy it every time I shave. Recommended.
The Eton College variant produces an abundant and amazingly smooth lather, resulting in the tell-tale smooth glide only achieved with exceptional products. Its delicate fragrance is reminiscent of the ancient homeric elegance which distinguish the gentleman amongst the crowd.
